ANIMAL REIKI WORKSHOP

ANIMAL REIKI WORKSHOP
November 14, 2026 | Saturday | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (ET)
100% live online via Zoom – IN ENGLISH
Description
This workshop invites you to explore the world of Animal Reiki, combining practical experience, intuition, and scientific research. Through guided meditation, clear explanations, and opportunities for reflection and sharing, we will explore the practice of Reiki and its potential role in supporting the well-being of both humans and animals.
We will explore how animals respond to their environment and to human presence, the importance of respecting their boundaries and choices during Reiki sessions, and how Reiki can be integrated thoughtfully and responsibly into a veterinary context. We will also examine the scientific literature on Animal Reiki, discussing available studies, their findings, and the limitations of current research.
Caring for animals also means caring for the people who care for them. Veterinary professionals and animal caregivers often face emotional demands associated with illness, suffering, difficult clinical decisions, and loss. Compassion fatigue and occupational stress can affect their own well-being. A dedicated part of this workshop will explore how Reiki may serve as a complementary self-care practice for veterinarians and caregivers, offering an opportunity to cultivate relaxation, emotional awareness, and moments of reflection.
Whether you are new to Reiki or already have experience with the practice, this workshop offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Reiki for animals and explore a more compassionate approach to the well-being of animals and the people who care for them.
Please note: This is an introductory educational workshop, not a complete Animal Reiki training course. It does not include Reiki attunements or initiations, certification, or qualification as a Reiki practitioner or Animal Reiki practitioner.

Exploring the Potential Benefits of Reiki
For Animals
Reiki is used by practitioners as a complementary approach to supporting animal well-being. Potential areas of application include:
-
Supporting relaxation and helping animals cope with stressful situations
-
Providing comfort to elderly, ill, or injured animals
-
Offering supportive care during recovery from illness or surgical procedures
-
Complementing veterinary care for animals with chronic conditions
-
Supporting animals who have experienced neglect, abuse, or mistreatment
-
Offering comfort during palliative and end-of-life care
For Veterinarians and Animal Caregivers
Caring for animals can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding. Reiki may offer a complementary opportunity to:
-
Create moments of relaxation amid demanding routines
-
Support emotional well-being and personal self-care
-
Develop greater awareness of one's own emotional and physical needs
-
Create space for reflection when facing suffering, difficult clinical decisions, or loss
-
Explore supportive practices in the context of compassion fatigue and occupational stress
Reiki is intended to complement, not replace, appropriate veterinary care or professional mental health support. Research into its effects on animals and humans is still developing, and further studies are needed to establish its effectiveness for specific outcomes.
